Titans News: Clowney coming

It was never in doubt, but the Titans have officially signed Jadeveon Clowney to a one year deal. The former Seahawk reunites with Jonathan Joseph and Mike Vrabel in Tennessee.

The deal is supposed to be worth up to $15M, which is a tremendous deal for Jon Robinson and the Titans.

After an AFC Championship appearance in 2019, Tennessee did not sit back and expect similar results to happen. They signed Vic Beasley and now Clowney to bolster the pass rush. The additions they have made this offseason should help them take that next step and becoming true Super Bowl contenders.

Reportedly, the Saints attempted to do a sign and trade to acquire Clowney. The NFL denied the sign and trade and the rest is history. Another report states that the Ravens would have snuck in and done a sign and trade, using the Jags to facilitate a deal.

Dane Cruikshank landed himself on injured reserve and Isaiah Wilson is back on the COVID list. Due to those two transactions, Chris Milton and Senorise Perry are back on the roster.

Jim Wyatt gives a fantastic response to a fan that is done with the team.

The roster has been cut down to 53 players and the practice squad has also been filled out. This weekend was full of activity.

Five captains were elected by the Titans on Monday. Tannehill, Byard, Jones, Kern, and Henry.

Stephen Gostkowski is healed from the hip injury that bothered him last season. He says that he needs to prove that he is worthy of being a Titan.

The Titan players are head over heels for “game wrecker” Clowney.

To make room on the roster for Clowney, Cameron Batson was waived.

Former Titan, Marcus Mariota was placed on IR. It does not appear that Mariota is able to stay healthy, which is a shame.
