Titans News: Contender status

Yesterday’s slate of games was pretty bad from a competitiveness standpoint. The Titans certainly did not help that situation with their 27-3 drubbing of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The entire defense stepped up on Sunday, holding Patrick Mahomes to the fewest points of his career. Truly an epic defensive performance.

Patrick Mahomes looked mortal on Sunday, in large part because of the Titan defense. They harassed him all afternoon and generated a few turnovers.

The comments from the players and staff wouldn’t lead you to believe that Sunday’s win was big. However, back to back wins over the two teams from last year’s AFC Championship Game tells a different story.

Once again, the offensive line suffered a ton of injuries on Sunday, forcing Dillon Radunz into some limited action. We’ll see if anyone has recovered for next week’s game against Indianapolis.
