Titans News: Cornerstone selections*

In 2019, the Titans had a fantastic draft. In fact, it might have been the best draft in franchise history. They selected Jeffrey Simmons and A.J. Brown in the first two rounds, then Nate Davis, Amani Hooker, and David Long. Walker is the only guy that wasn’t a starter in 2021.

NFL.com says that the Titans drafted two of the top five guys from that draft in Simmons and Brown and they wonder the same thing I am. How did they let Brown get away? What should have been a draft that set the Titans up for a long time in star power on both offense and defense turned the offensive star into a couple lottery tickets. Let’s hope Burks turns out to be just as good of a WR as Brown, although that’s a very unlikely outcome.

Dontrell Hilliard was a nice surprise for the Titans in 2021 and he’s looking to make a role for himself in 2022. I’d imagine he can take on the McWeapon 3rd down back role.
