Titans News: Draft Day

It’s here, ladies and gentlemen. The most exciting day of the offseason, the NFL draft. I am excited and nervous to see who the Titans select tonight and who they think can help them get over the playoff hump and into a Super Bowl. Jim Wyatt is in Las Vegas for the event and he’s been doing great work interviewing some of the prospects that are there. I thought it was hilarious that Nakobe Dean was questioning why people would have him mocked to the Titans with their two stud ILBs.

Zion Johnson roomed with Tyler Vrabel, and the fit with the Titans for Johnson just makes sense. He’s extremely athletic, very versatile on the interior, and a high character guy. If he’s there at 26, I would be a little surprised if he wasn’t the pick.

Daniel Jeremiah has the Titans picking Tyler Smith from Tulsa, which would make me puke.

Charles Davis gives the Titans Zion Johnson, which as I said before, makes some sense, even if the value is atrocious.

Author: Robert GreenlawBorn and raised west of the Mighty Mississippi, a 2nd-grade project on the state of Tennessee introduced Robert to Steve McNair and Eddie George, turning him into a Titans fan for life. 1. Zion Johnson is the pick if he’s there. Kenyon Green makes sense, too, …if he’s there. But this feels like a draft where somehow neither of those guys is there, they find a partner to trade back into the 2nd Round, and then they take either Tyler Smith or Skyy Moore or someone like George Karlaftis is sitting there for some silly reason and they have to pull the trigger. It’ll either make all the sense in the world, or absolutely none at all.
