The day has arrived, ladies and gentlemen. Kevin Costner will call the Jaguars to trade up for the #1 pick, only to trade it back to them for more than we paid for it. After fleecing Jacksonville, Kevin will select Elijah Moore, the WR out of Ole Miss. After the selection is read, he’ll reach into his pocked and pull out a post-it note that reads, “Elijah Moore no matter what.” Because that’s been the plan all along, right?
Hopefully that’s the scenario that plays out tonight. If not, I’ll settle for the Titans selecting Moore outright at 22, no trades involved. Charles Davis seems to think that Moore could be the selection for Tennessee.
Add Daniel Jeremiah to the growing list of pundits mocking Elijah to Tennessee. It makes perfect sense, doesn’t it? Titans lose Davis, Humphries, and Jonnu this offseason, and have only replaced that trio with Josh Reynolds. Moore slots in (no pun intended) perfectly to the offense in the slot with some outside ability.
Turron Davenport brings up what would be a truly disgusting scenario. The Titans selecting a right tackle with their first round pick. This class is deep at OT, and they have what they deemed an acceptable replacement for Kelly already on the roster in Kendall Lamm. No need to get a RT in the first when the obvious holes are at CB, WR, and TE. Get one in the 3rd or 4th round.
Who could be a Day 2 pick that turns out to be a stud? NFL.com has a few candidates.
Let us know who you want the Titans to draft in the comments below. As always, it should be an exciting night.
