Jon Robinson has done a lot right since becoming the GM of the Titans. He took over what was one of the worst rosters in the league and transformed it into one of the best. The players he has added have changed the culture and identity of the team and the franchise. That’s not to say that he doesn’t make mistakes, but the good outweighs the bad. Robinson spoke with media members yesterday at the combine and got choked up when asked what he could have done better to avoid the Divisional Round loss to Cincy. While that doesn’t matter in terms of wins and losses, I do think you get a better appreciation for Jon Robinson and how much he actually cares. This isn’t just a job for him and he treats it as a privilege to work for this franchise.
Velus Jones of the Vols would love to stay in Tennessee and be drafted by the Titans.
Mike Vrabel spoke with the media on Wednesday at the combine as well.
Probably not in 2022, but sometime soon, the Titans will need a successor to Ryan Tannehill. It sounds like the preference would be to draft and stash a player for a year or two. I think thats the way to do it in an ideal world, I’m just not sure your timing is going to be perfect.
The Titans have to add a WR early in the draft this year. You don’t know how healthy Julio will be going forward and the WR3 and on in 2021 wasn’t good enough. Enter Olave.
It sounds like the Titans are very keen on keeping Harold Landry. I would expect a long term deal to get done at some point this offseason, even if a franchise tag is the prelude to that.
