Titans News: False Narrative

Cynthia Frelund over at NFL.com says that Malcolm Butler will be the Titan’s most improved player in 2020. I think that Butler will be good in 2020, however being most improved would imply that he was not good in 2019. Simply put, that is not the case. Butler was very good in 2020, and the secondary was exposed once he went out for the season with his arm injury.

Jim Wyatt says again that the Titans are looking to see where the chips may fall with Jadeveon Clowney before they look elsewhere for EDGE help.

There are a lot of Titans being slept on in the Madden 21 initial ratings. A.J. Brown as 81 OVR guy? C’mon man.

Titans Online takes a look at the TE position going into training camp. The group in its entirety is pretty young, but they have experience. It will be up to Jonnu Smith and Broadway Sports Media favorite, Anthony Firkser, to share the load in the passing game. MyCole Pruitt (an alumnus of the high school I went to, and probably the best blocking TE of all time) will have the job of opening up holes for Henry to run through.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL has offered the NFLPA the option of zero preseason games this upcoming season. This would be bad news for the UDFA guys trying to make teams.

After an entire season of drama in 2019, Antonio Brown says he is done playing football. He has said this before, so I’m not sure if we should take him at his word or not.

ESPN+ has a fun “Future Power Rankings” article, projecting how teams are going to fare in the next three years. The Titans rank 11th, which seems kind of low considering how young their core is.
