Titans News: Fastest class

Due to the lack of a combine this offseason, all of the athletic testing for prospects has taken place at pro days. Typically you see faster times at pro days than at the combine, but since the pro days are all we have to go off of this year, the athletic profiles for these prospects are off the charts. Kyle Pitts, Ja’Marr Chase, Terrace Marshall Jr., Jamin Davis, Kadarius Toney, Carlos Basham, and Tommy Tremble all had ridiculous numbers on Wednesday.

After his pro day, Pitts said that he believes he could be the best TE ever. His athletic profile certainly gives him a chance to do that. Obviously there is a lot of work to do and a lot of success needed to take that title away from Gronk.

Bucky Brooks has an updated top 5 for each position in the draft. The draft is very deep at the positions of need for the Titans, so there’s a lot of potential to fix a lot of holes for now and the future.

Despite being the new guy on the block, Bud Dupree wants to set the tone for the Titans on defense. He says he needs to have the mindset of playing with your hair on fire. That phrase is a trigger for me, as Jim Haslett described Rashaan Evans’ play as “playing with his hair on fire.” Evans is bald, so maybe that’s the issue and other players won’t be affected by the cliche.
