Titans News: Historic on both ends of the spectrum

The Titans are a good team, and are one of the best red zone teams in the NFL and have been scoring TDs instead of FGs at a ridiculous clip under Tannehill. They also are historically bad at 3rd down defense.

Daren Bates and David Quessenberry are now on the 53 man roster. Hopefully Adoree Jackson will be joining them soon.

Is Marshawn Lynch in the cards for the Titans? Probably not says Jim Wyatt.

After being ranked third overall in the NFL.com rankings, the Titans fall to seventh after the loss to Pittsburgh.

Tannehill and Henry stay inside the top 15 in the offensive power index from NFL.com.

  1. Who is talking Marshon Lynch? We are already topheavy at offense… our problem is in the secondary and, well, kicker again. I’m beginning to think that Mike Herndon’s suggestion that we get Brian Poole from the Jets to play slot for us is a good idea. If not, maybe Desmond King if he’s still unhappy, although I think his problem is that he’s a safety playing CB.

Gotta find the magic answer to our 3rd down conversion problem on defense. We do that, and we will be in the same level as the Ravens and Chiefs.

    1. Wondering: (1) how often we are playing zone instead of man on third down and (2) if Adoree’s return will open up a new ability to confidently play man without worrying that we will be vulnerable to a major burn due to a bad matchup.
