On Monday, the Titans started to get their roster down to 53 players. Unfortunately a casualty of getting younger, better, and cheaper was Brett Kern. A stalwart at the position for what seems like forever, he will be kicking for another team in 2022 if he chooses to continue playing. I’ll miss Kern, but football is a business and I think the Titans made the right decision here.
Dennis Daley is the latest trade acquisition for the Titans as they search for OL depth. In the preseason, it appeared that the Titans may only have 5 quality offensive linemen and in a league where injuries test your depth on a yearly basis, you need more than that.
After the game on Saturday, Vrabel praised the play of Joe Jones, who may be a sneaky good bet to make the roster.
After 3 preseason games, Malik Willis looks like he’s getting more comfortable with what he’s being coached on. How does he compare to former Titan draft picks? Not favorably in passing categories, but rushing, he blows them all away.
