Titans News: Like Christmas morning

Football, like Frank Costanza, is BACK, BABY!!!! Tonight the Chiefs take on the Texans on Thursday Night Football. It feels so good to have football on our TVs.

Jadeveon Clowney had his first day on the job yesterday. He worked a lot with Shane Bowen 1 on 1, but he also started teaching the young guns on the team, specifically Harold Landry. I believe Clowney’s impact on the field is going to be a huge help to Landry, but now that he’s helping in the classroom as well, this early? This could be huge.

This offseason has been a tough one for Rodger Saffold, who lost his father. Before each game, he would call and talk to his dad. The plan is to continue to talk to him, it will just be different now.

How good is Derrick Henry? So good that even Maurice Jones-Drew had to give him some credit. MJD predicted that Henry will finish the year as the leading rusher in the AFC and only behind Zeke Elliot in the NFL.

Going into week 1, the Titans are going to dodge playing Von Miller, who is going to potentially miss the season with a dislocated peroneal tendon in his ankle. That’s a big break for the boys in two-tone blue.

Miller will be out in week 1, and Danielle Hunter, another premier pass rusher, will be out for the Titans’ week 3 matchup with the Vikings. Minnesota is better equipped to deal with the loss of Hunter than the Broncos are will Miller, but nonetheless, this is a tough blow for the Norsemen.
