Titans News: Next man up

It’s pretty astonishing how the Titans have adopted Mike Vrabel’s “next man up” mantra. The team consistently performs no matter who is injured or needs to be replaced. Without Julio Jones on Sunday, Marcus Johnson stepped up and had a 100 yard game. The offense has been quiet the past two weeks, but the defense has more than made up for it. Six wins in a row, 5 against playoff teams from 2020, it’s hard to not be impressed by this franchise.

Big Jeff is simply playing at an All-World level right now. Five sacks in his last two games, he looks like a potential DPOPY candidate. If he keeps it up, the sky is the limit for this team come January.

The defense was great in the first half against New Orleans, but the offense certainly lacked for a second straight week. They’ll need A.J. Brown to step up after back to back poor performances.

Running the football was tough once again without Derrick Henry. D’Onta Foreman led the RBs at 2.7 YPC. He certainly looks like the best of the three in the RBBC, but we’ll see if they start to commit to him more with increased touches.
