Daniel Jeremiah released his first mock draft of the year and his pick for the Titans is sickening. He gives the Titans Quay Walker, an ILB from Georgia. There is absolutely zero reason for the Titans to be drafting a defensive player in the first round this year. Additionally, ILB is one of the strongest and deepest positions on the team with Long and Cunningham as starters for the present and future and 3rd round pick Monty Rice as depth.
After the debacle on Saturday, Adam Schein comes to the conclusion that many of us have had. The Titans cannot win with Ryan Tannehill, at least not in the postseason. Is that an absolute? Yes. Do only siths speak in absolutes? Maybe, but it’s very hard to envision the Titans winning a Super Bowl with Tannehill, especially given the talent across the AFC at QB.
Adam Schein wasn’t the only one who thinks the Titans have reached their ceiling with Tannehill, as Turron Davenport wrote the same thing.
In his end of season press conference, Mike Vrabel gave positive reviews of Todd Downing, much to the chagrin of Titans fans. He mentioned that execution has to be better. The last time he referenced execution was last season regarding the defense. They tore it down to the studs and rebuilt. Do they do the same thing on offense? Unlikely, because there are plenty of good players, but I do think it gets overhauled a bit.
For the diehard Mason Kinsey fans out there, he’s been signed to a futures deal.
