The Titans released Adam Humphries yesterday in a move that made sense and created some cap space. The unfortunate side effect of the move is that Cam Batson is now the 2nd best WR under contract.
Believe it or not, that is not good enough. This offseason the Titans will need to add multiple WRs, and not just bodies, but quality players. If they fail to do so, the offense will be at risk of taking a step back in 2021. An offense that isn’t as good as the past two years is a recipe for a disappointing season.
In his most recent mock draft, Mel Kiper has the Titans selecting Jaelan Phillips from Miami. I am not high on Phillips due to his injury history and his questionable love for football. The latter of those things hits too close to home due to the failed 2020 first rounder.
Russell Wilson has not requested a trade, but he has flirted with the idea. 10 teams have expressed interest in Wilson, and he’s given a list to the Seahawks of teams he’d be interested in going to. I hope he stays in the NFC.
Charley Casserly wants to watch the world burn with his latest mock draft. If the Titans take an OT, there should be a lot of angst.
