We are getting closer to the final day of cuts before teams need to get their rosters down to 53 players. Gregg Rosenthal takes a look at players who could be traded or cut ahead of the deadline. A couple of the names in the TE department certainly interest me, especially O.J. Howard, who would probably be the best all around player at the position from day 1 on the Titans.
Harold Landry was placed on the COVID list on Wednesday. Hopefully he recovers soon, because the Titans really need him. Rashad Weaver will need to step up in his place.
Ryan Tannehill is not worried about the offense right now and he shouldn’t be. The players on offense are uber talented and have been together except for Julio. They’ll figure it out.
In the second round of the 2021 draft, the Titans selected Dillon Radunz. He was supposed to fix the longstanding RT problem. He hasn’t yet, and he’s been actively bad in the preseason action he’s had. So what’s going on with the rookie? Some of it is rookie learning, some of it is not playing much football in the last year. Regardless, the Titans need him to get going.

I… wasn’t that impressed by Howard in the preseason game. Yeah, they talked about how he’s “bouncing back from an injury” but was the injury keeping him from extending his arms away from his body so that he could properly catch a football? He had opportunities given to him by the QB, but he dropped them or let them bounce off him with bad technique.
Which is really sad because he is a specimen and has all of the gifts to be elite at the position. But he seems lost and timid, kinda like Marcus was at the end here.
Hmmm. Maybe what he needs is a new place to start.
Hey… have you guys seen a YouTube channel called No Flags Film? This dude is doing really good Titans film breakdown and analysis. I hope you guys could go watch what he is doing and, if you feel like I do, reach out to him.
Mike recently left, and I think he could help fill some of the void. Not sure if his voice skills are as good as Mike’s, but his mind is as keen, IMO. And that’s a big compliment from me.
