Titans News: Snip, Snap, Snip, Snap

Oh, the roller coaster that is the Antonio Brown saga. Much like when Michael Scott had to reverse course repeatedly when it came to vasectomies, the former Steelers/Bills/Raiders/Patriots receiver has flipped and flopped regarding his retirement. I do not know whether he will play another down in the NFL again, but the man does need to seek some help for his sanity.

Gone is Jurrell Casey, but enter Jeremy Simmons. This is the new reality for the Titan defensive line. There is some talent there, highlighted by DaQuan Jones and the aforementioned Simmons. The Titans will need a guy like Murchison or Mack to step up and eat snaps as well. Additionally, I imagine Clowney will get some time on the interior, as he contributes to the front multiplicity approach.

The football team in Washington has decided to go by “The Washington Football Team“. It is bizarre, but at the same time, it makes sense. Better to make this a temporary name than decide on a new moniker hastily and really mess it up.

NFL.com ranks the top 10 TEs in the league right now. For some reason they put Gronk in the top 4, excluding Zach Ertz. I do not agree with that decision or the decision to put Tyler Higbee in the top 10. Jonnu Smith has a real opportunity to crack this list in 2021.

The onus is on Ryan Tannehill in 2020 to prove that he was not a one-year wonder. By signing him longterm, the Titans bet that it was not a fluke, and I think Tannethrill is going to reward their confidence.

Future Titan, Jadeveon Clowney, and current Titan, Derrick Henry, both made ESPN’s professional athlete tug-of-war all-star match. I wonder what would happen if the two of them collided at full force. The universe implodes?
