Titans News: Statement game

Tonight’s matchup with the Bills is important for a lot of reasons. It’s a chance to get back to .500, it’s a chance to tie the division lead, it’s a chance to show that the Titans can hang with the big dogs in the AFC. I’m sure Mike Vrabel will have the team ready, it’ll be interesting if they have the horses to hang.

Jim Wyatt says the Titans will need their playmakers to step up. I agree with that and I also think the Titans need to make sure their best players are getting the ball. In case you were wondering, that does not mean Geoff Swaim.

Something I learned on Sunday was that having two top tier WRs that are home run threats every time they touch the ball is a good thing. The Titans should try accumulating some of those instead of trading them away.

When the Bills and Titans square off tonight, two of the best coaches in the league will be leading them. Both McDermott and Vrabel come from defensive backgrounds, which is unique in today’s league.
