The Pro Bowl rosters were announced for the 2020 season and as always, there were opinions. For the Titans, A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry were the only representatives. Ryan Tannehill, Rodger Saffold, Ben Jones, Nate Davis, and Malcolm Butler were all snubs. You can also make a strong case for Corey Davis, although it’s tough to argue with the players selected ahead of him.
Making it into the Pro Bowl means a lot for players’ legacies and their wallets as they typically are awarded bonuses based off that achievement. So, while people might say “don’t worry about the Pro Bowl voting”, the players certainly should.
During Mike Vrabel’s Monday presser he praised Darrynton Evans and said the defense will be worked on. If they go into next season with the same coaching staff in place, then they are destined for failure again. Thankfully I believe Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel are smart guys and will make the defense at least below average.
Adam Schein ranks the teams most likely to challenge for a Super Bowl this year. He lists the Titans as the 8th best team, and while I think I’d give them better odds, it’s a fair ranking given the state of the defense.
