Titans News: Time to earn it

Harold Landry was seen as a first round talent by many going into the 2018 NFL Draft. He fell to the second round and the Titans were applauded for landing a “steal”. An OK rookie campaign saw him notch 4.5 sacks, which turned into 9 sacks his sophomore year. The expectations were high going into year three, especially with Jadeveon Clowney theoretically taking attention off of the former Boston College standout. That never materialized, as Clowney failed to make the promised impact and Landry ended up with 5.5 sacks on the year. This year, a contract year for Harold is put up or shut up time. Can he force the Titans to pay him top money by lighting it up across from Bud Dupree? Or does he make the 2018 draft an 0fer for Jon Robinson?

Both Julio and A.J. returned to practice, although they were not full participants. It’s good that they are out there, although I’m not sure they’ll be full all year. Same goes for Derrick Henry, who they are wise to protect. It sounds like the TD catch against the Bucs may have sparked something for Dez Fitzpatrick, who now has two practices in a row of positive reviews.

NFL.com wonders which ‘Year 2’ candidates could win NFL MVP. They list Jonathan Taylor as a possibility, which is laughable. RBs will not win the award unless they are Lamar Jackson.
