Titans News: Uncertainty is the only certainty

They say death, taxes, and the Jacksonville Jaguars tarping off their stadium are the only certainties in life. That remains even more true in 2020, where things change seemingly every second. The newest development in a year full of them is that the Titans had three players and five staffers test positive for COVID-19 although all of them are reportedly asymptomatic.

Despite the positive tests, the NFL and the two teams plan on playing the game on Sunday as scheduled, although there are contingencies to play Monday or Tuesday.

The three players placed on the COVID-19 were DaQuan Jones, Beau Brinkley, and Tommy Hudson. At a human level, it’s terrible for any of those guys to be sick, and even scarier for a guy like DaQuan Jones who has an infant at home.

Jim Wyatt says he is very concerned about the run defense. If DaQuan is out for a considerable amount of time, it is hard to see it improving.

Kevin Seifert details some of the COVID-19 protocols for the NFL and how it could impact games going forward.

The Titans stayed at #7 in the NFL.com power rankings, which is fair given the opponents they have played so far. If they win against the Steelers, that ranking should improve fairly dramatically.
