On Tuesday, the Titans announced that John Simon was added back to the practice squad. Simon was on the roster this offseason and when he was cut, Mike Vrabel made it clear he would like to bring the veteran back at some point.
The Jim Wyatt Mailbag Experience is full of terrors. Jim, however is consistent. The Titans were really bad on Sunday. They have a ton to clean up, and have to in a hurry. That being said, the season isn’t over and the Titans still have time to transform into what they want to be.
Every single third down play on Sunday felt like a sack. Turron Davenport writes about the lack of success on third down spelling doom for Tennessee.
A bit of a surprise cut on Tuesday, Jaylon Smith, former Notre Dame standout, has been cut by the Cowboys. Should the Titans be interested? I’m not sure it matters that much. The coaching staff still speaks highly of Rashaan Evans, and he’ll continue to get playing time. David Long is the best ILB on the team, so is Jaylon replacing Jayon? Probably not. I would rather have their third round pick get more reps than bring in Jaylon.
Consistency is key, and the Titans do not have it. They drop to 18th in the NFL.com Power Rankings.
ESPN drops the Titans to 18th overall as well. Turron Davenport cites a lack of killer instinct in the red zone as a cause for failure.
