A really bad loss to the Steelers means that the Titans squandered their opportunity to control their destiny in regards to the #1 seed. Brutal ball security was the culprit yet again and the Titans cannot wait to get A.J. Brown back, hopefully this Thursday. I feel for the defense, because they played about as well as you can play. To be fair, this is probably how the offense felt in 2020.
Zach Cunningham looked at home in his Titan debut, leading the way for the defense with six tackles. The Titans now have real difference makers at every level on defense and it’s showing.
If the season ended today, the Titans would play the Chargers in the first round of the playoffs. That’s a matchup I would actually welcome, given the Chargers inability to stop the run or tackle. A healthy Derrick Henry against that kind of defense is exactly what I want.
Turron’s confidence rating in the Titans didn’t change after Sunday and it shouldn’t. This is exactly the same team as before and with improved health, they’ll be dangerous come playoffs if they figure out how to hold onto the ball.
