BREAKING: Titans reportedly pick Ran Carthon to be their next General Manager

One of the biggest remaining questions for the Tennessee Titans has now been answered.

For weeks now, the Titans have been juggling a variety of different candidates to become the team’s next general manager, this after they fired former general manager Jon Robinson last December.

After a lengthy process, we received word that three total candidates had reportedly been asked to do a second round of interviews. Interim general manager Ryan Cowden, Chicago Bears assistant general manager Ian Cunningham, and San Francisco 49ers director of player personnel Ran Carthon.

Well, after some time, it seems the Titans have settled on “their guy”.

With him being Ran Carthon, the well respected rising star.

Carthon has worked with the Los Angeles Rams under general manager Les Snead, as well as his most recent stop, under John Lynch with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers have developed a very solid roster throughout the years, with Carthon being within the front office throughout all of Lynch’s years in San Francisco.

Carthon is a widely respected candidate, one that is well known as a man that values the idea of building and sustaining relationships within the business. A very attractive trait that can go a long way as an important front office member.

And he’s what TheScore’s Jordan Schultz calls, “one of the most respected people in NFL circles”.

This certainly looks like a good hire, now all that’s left for him to do is getting to work and bringing a once notable AFC contender, back to the status it once had before.
