Titans-Ravens Wild Card: Wednesday Injury Report

The Titans are in the playoffs for the second straight year, which means we have post-Week 17 injury reports to share.

OLB Derick Roberson (Hamstring)Full

THOUGHTS

Aaron Brewer and Kevin Byard sat out of practice, but neither player is injured and should be back on the field later this week.

As far as I’m concerned, Rodger Saffold (who said he is “absolutely” playing this weekend), Dennis Kelly, Ben Jones, A.J. Brown, and anyone else who’s been managing an injury all year should just take the week to get healthy before what is sure to be a physically tolling match with Baltimore.

Daren Bates, Darrynton Evans, Adoree Jackson, and Geoff Swaim were all limited on Wednesday. Derick Roberson was back as a full participant after missing last week’s game.

I would expect everyone on this injury report to be ready to go by Sunday, but we’ll have to monitor for any updates on Thursday and Friday.

Ravens

WR Willie Snead (Ankle)DNP
C Patrick Mekari (Back)Limited
OLB Yannick Ngakoue (Thigh)Limited
CB Jimmy Smith (Ribs/Shoulder)Limited

THOUGHTS

Calais Campbell, who missed the last meeting with Tennessee, took Wednesday off to get prepared for Sunday. D.J. Fluker, who showed up on the injury report last Friday but played on Sunday, has started eight games for the Ravens this year. He didn’t practice today but likely won’t be in jeopardy of missing the game.

Marlon Humphrey is a little banged up but hasn’t missed a game since Week 9. He should be fine as the week progresses. Willie Snead missed the season finale with an ankle injury, but John Harbaugh said he’s “hopeful” Snead can return this weekend.

Yannick Ngakoue also missed last week, while Jimmy Smith has missed Baltimore’s last three games. Both were limited Wednesday, and Harbaugh said they have a “good chance” to return against Tennessee.

Patrick Mekari had started the Ravens’ last seven games before Week 17. He was injured in the Week 16 win over the Giants and didn’t practice all last week. He could be on track to return Sunday after practicing on a limited basis today.

More to come later this week…

Comments

    1. I guess they don’t comment on IR players, but you would think he’d be back by now. The concussion originally occurred in Cincy, but he clearly didn’t look like himself against the Browns. I don’t know if we’ll even see him again if we get past the Ravens.
