Titans remove Corey Davis from PUP

The Titans received some good news on the injury front this morning.

The team’s senior writer Jim Wyatt is reporting that the Titans have removed Corey Davis from the PUP list. Davis was originally added to the list at the beginning of training camp. Players are eligible to return from the training camp PUP list whenever they pass a physical, which Davis did. Davis could return the field just in time for the team’s first padded practice of camp later today. We’ll be monitoring this closely.

It goes without saying that this is a big year for Davis. The Titans did not pick up his 5th-year option earlier this offseason, which means he’s now entering a contract year. Davis has been a solid player for the Titans in numerous facets of the game but hasn’t quite lived up to the No. 5 overall pick the team used on him.

The Titans never officially confirmed what injury Davis was rehabbing from, but Taylor Lewan seemingly revealed that Davis played through a turf toe injury last season during an episode of Bussin’ with the Boys.

Don’t look now, but the Titans are in really good shape from a health perspective just four weeks ahead of their season opener.
