The later rounds of the NFL draft always possesses some noticeable names and players that could maybe make an impact in year one. I don’t know if this player will, but the depth at wide receiver for the Titans is a bit messy so anything could happen.
Obviously joking but let me tell you about the Titans’ selection. Tennessee drafted LSU wide receiver Racey McMath with the first of their two second round picks in the 2021 NFL draft.
He’s 6’2 and 211 pounds, which are similar “measurables” to Dez Fitzpatrick, a receiver the Titans took earlier on day three.
He ran a 4.39 40 time at his pro day, which is pretty darn fast if I say so myself. That 10 yard split time is a little bleh though, which suggests McMath doesn’t have a that immediate burst or exciting explosion you want to see from a wideout that runs that fast of a 40.
He’s probably depth to start out obviously so keep your expectations a little low.
