Titans select Maryland TE Chigoziem Okonkwo with the no. 143 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft

Jon Robinson has added another tight end, and this one should provide some decent upside as a pass catcher.

The Titans selected Maryland tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo with their final fourth round pick. Okonkwo will instantly infuse athleticism and a decent pass catching skill set to the Titans, with room to grow into better blocker.

Okonkwo’s still undersized, only weighing 238 pounds with an underwhelming height of 6 feet and 2 inches. But if he can add a little more weight, he might be able to hold his own as a blocker and handle the physicality the NFL presents.

A little bit of a bonus nugget, Okonkwo has been compared to former Titans tight end Jonnu Smith.

Scout’s take

Our own James Foster (A.K.A. NoFlagsFilm) has worked extremely hard to scout this year’s eligible draft prospects. His opinion is very valuable and will be used to gauge feeling on Titans related draft selections this weekend.
