With their first pick on day three of the draft, the Titans settled on another position we didn’t expect them to address.
That’s right, Tennessee selected a running back, Michigan running back Hassan Haskins to be exact.
Did the Titans need to take a running back? No, not really. But, he is a running back whose style fits perfectly into what the Titans want to see out of their offense, specifically their running backs.
Haskins is a bruising back standing at 6’1, 228 pounds with a compact running style and a strong build despite his smaller frame. It’ll be interesting to see how he fits in with the Titans though, since there’s a few backs I can think of that’ll demand snaps before he receives any.
Scout’s take
Our own James Foster (A.K.A. NoFlagsFilm) has worked extremely hard to scout this year’s eligible draft prospects. His opinion is very valuable and will be used to gauge feeling on Titans related draft selections this weekend.
Purely a north-south runner. Charges his way through contact. Ran a diverse route tree at a high level despite limited production. Doesn’t have elite speed.
