Five Titans training-camp stories to follow leading up to a highly anticipated season

    The arrival of big-name free agents and the return of a division-winning team have combined for an air of excitement surrounding the start of Titans training-camp practices on Wednesday.

    The Titans should at the very least be able to compete offensively with any team in the NFL, and the team’s hope is that – with the help of a personnel overhaul – Tennessee’s defense should improve upon last year’s awful unit as well.

    Still, there are plenty of questions to be answered as the Titans prepare to set foot on the steamy fields of St. Thomas Sports Park this week.

    Here are five storylines to follow through training camp and up until the season opener, Sept. 12 against Arizona at Nissan Stadium:

    How quickly will Tannehill, Jones click? -- The Titans made one of the NFL’s biggest offseason splashes when they acquired seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones, who’s totaled 848 catches for 12,896 and 60 touchdowns in 10 seasons.

    He should give the Titans a frightening set of offensive weapons, considering the team was already returning quarterback Ryan Tannehill, running back Derrick Henry, wide receiver A.J. Brown and underrated tight end Anthony Firkser.
