Titans Training Camp Schedule: Week 2

The Titans reported for training camp as a team last Tuesday, July 28th, for COVID-19 tests and a week of virtual meetings.

Due to the coronavirus impacts on the offseason, this year’s training camp schedule has been strictly mandated by the agreement between the NFL and NFLPA. This week, the team will return to the field for strength and conditioning work.

Here is the Training Camp timeline as outlined in the NFL’s proposal to the players (which was agreed upon), according to Albert Breer:

  • Day 1: Testing/virtual meetings
  • Days 2-3: Virtual meetings
  • Day 4: Testing/virtual meetings
  • Days 5-6: Physicals
  • Days 7-15: Strength and conditioning (with a day off)
  • Day 16: Practice starts
  • Day 21: First padded practice

Monday is technically Day 7, so the team will be returning to the weight room and the practice field to ramp back up ahead of the return to actual training camp practices.

All of this week, and in fact through next Tuesday, August 11th, will be strength and conditioning work. The Titans will have one off day over the course of that timeframe.

Then, beginning Wednesday, August 12th, the team will return to the field for real life training camp practices, although they will not be in pads until Monday, August 17th, 24 days before the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs kick off the season on Thursday Night Football.
