The Tennessee Titans signed versatile offensive linemen Zack Johnson to a futures contract in January. Johnson initially joined the Titans’ practice squad in December and was quickly elevated to the active roster. Johnson played in Tennessee’s Week 17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Titans like Johnson. They welcomed him back to their 90-man roster this spring. Johnson is expected to compete for a final spot on the 53-man roster. An injury to Dillon Radunz, and a suspension for Nicholas Petit-Frere, has opened up a few spots on Tennessee’s offensive line.
Johnson recently spoke exclusively with Broadway Sports. Johnson discussed his initial feel of the Titans organization, which positions he expects to compete at this summer, and more. Johnson also offered some interesting insight into the coaching style of new offensive line coach Jason Houghtaling.
JM: You initially joined the Titans practice squad in December during the 2022 season. What was your initial impression of the franchise?
Zack Johnson: I loved it. I could immediately decipher that the Titans are a well-run organization. They run a professional system. It’s a very upbeat environment and I’ve really enjoyed my time in Tennessee.
