USMNT announces 26-man World Cup roster

NEW YORK, NY – The U.S. Men’s National Team announced their 26-man roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday. Nashville SC’s Walker Zimmerman was an expected inclusion, while fellow Coyote Shaq Moore was a surprise selection.

Shockingly, Zack Steffen and Ricardo Pepi weren’t called up, with Haji Wright a stunning choice up top. The 24-year-old Antalyaspor striker has scored nine goals in 12 matches in the Turkish top flight, but his last appearance for the USMNT came in June 2022 in the Concacaf Nations League.
